This reusable soft silicone cup is worn internally like a tampon, but collects‚ rather than absorbs‚ your period. It stays in place by creating a seal between the cup and your vaginal wall. Once your cup is filled, you simply empty, rinse, and reinsert the cup for another 12 hours of protection.

Includes one cup + one carry bag.

Replacement For

Single-use period products such as tampons and pads.

How to Use

1. Wash hands: Check that the air holes at the top of your cup are open. Wash your hands.

2. Fold + Hold: Get comfy. You can insert the cup while sitting, standing or squatting. Spreading your legs will help with a successful and comfortable insertion. Relax. Fold the cup in on itself to make flat, then in half to form a C shape.

3. Insert: Keep it rolled up and guide it rim first into the vagina. To check that the cup has fully opened, slide a clean finger up to the cup bottom and feel it - it should be round. Cup can be used any time in your menstrual cycle, from heavy to light flow days.

4. Wear + learn: Cup is emptied about 2–4 times a day, can be used for up to 12 hours, also overnight. The measuring lines on the cup help monitor your flow and easily learn your rhythm.

5. Remove + empty: Wash your hands and relax your muscles. Grasp the bottom of the cup. To break seal, squeeze the bottom of the cup. Be sure not to pull it out by holding the stem alone. Tip contents into the toilet. Rinse & Reuse.

6. Clean + sanitize: Cup should be cleaned before and after your cycle, and after emptying. To avoid odor and discoloration, rinse first in cold water, and then wash with hot water.

LOVE.

I LOVE MY MENSTRUAL CUP.

Buying the cup was one of the best decisions I've made this year, hands-down. I HATE using pads. To me it's the equivalent of wearing a bloody diaper (ew, I know, but it's just true). But as a pediatric ICU nurse I'm also TERRIFIED of toxic-shock from overnight tampon use from seeing it in teenagers. Also... it's just a waste of resources and money. Bad for both my wallet and the environment.

ENTER IN THE MENSTRUAL CUP. I'll be frank: the first couple uses were awkward and uncomfy. Attempting to learn how to put it in properly gave me bad flashbacks to my first time putting in a tampon, not to mention I didn't get a good seal until maybe an hour later and oooof that's a weird feeling once it pops. BUT by the second cycle after buying I had it down and never have had any leaks or issues. I think it's easy to put in and take out once you've got the hang of it, and cleaning is easy if you can get past the bodily fluids (though you're dealing with that with tampons anyway... I digress.) Most of the time I forget I'm even on my period.

So.... get you a menstrual cup. Love your wallet and the environment and your ridiculous period symptoms. It's life changing. Okay bye. :)

Excellent

I've had problems with my cup leaking for years. So I FINALLY decided to try a new one and of course opted to buy at Simply Zero.

The first time I used this one, it got stuck. That's never happened to me before. I actually had to call in late for work because I could not get it out. At some point in my panic, I decided to give myself a hard deadline: If it's not out by 10 a.m., I'm going to the emergency room. Directly before the deadline, using tweezers, I finally got it out.

Now, I know that sounds awful. But hear me out. It was just kind of a relief that it actually worked -- no leaks anywhere (I have a notoriously heavy period.). So I tried it again and it was a little easier to get out, though still a struggle. And then I tried it again. At the end of the day, my body eventually got used to it and I love that it's leak proof.

I mention all the details bc if you buy this product and struggle with it at first, don't worry. I did, too. But it works wonders and I actually DO recommend it.
