Note: We want to be clear and honest here – these pads are not plastic free. They feature a waterproof layer made of polyester PUL. We believe plastic is great when used wisely. PUL fabric in our pads allows to create a durable, reliable menstrual product that you can reuse for several years replacing single use plastic alternatives.
Care
For best result rinse pad under cold water after use (until the water runs clear). It's ok to rinse the pads you used throughout the day when you get home. Hand rinse or run a rinse cycle in the washer.
Store used pads in a pad wrapper / wet bag until ready to wash. Waterproof bag / wrapper locks in odor & moisture and allows you to store and carry pads mess-free.
At the end of the day, toss used pads into the washer and run a cold wash cycle with gentle detergent. Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
Gently stretch your pads after wash and hang to dry using a drying strap. It's ok to dry pads on a low heat for a quick fix. We recommends washing your pads before the first use.
End of Life
With proper care each pad should last up to 5 years and possible longer depending on usage. Period underwear can be recycled through the underwear Terracycle program here.
